Shirley L. Held (Stoll) Lane

Wynantskill - Shirley Held Lane, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the age of 103, at Samaritan Hospital Hospice Unit.

Shirley was born in Elmira, NY on October 21, 1912, the daughter of the late Harry and Lula Stoll and widow of John Lane.  

She is survived by her three sons, James R. (Ann) Held, North Greenbush, John E. (Nadine) Held, Seneca Falls, NY and Jerald E. (Lorraine) Held, Pineville, SC and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Shirley and her family moved to the NYS Capital District so she could work at the Watervliet Arsenal during World War II and thereafter at Cluett, Peabody & Company until her retirement in 1977.  She was a member of First Reformed Church of Wynantskill.    

Family and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 3-5 PM with a service to follow at 5 PM with Rev. Gusti Linnea Newquist, officiating.

Interment will be private at Memory Gardens Colonie.
