Theresa M. Sherman Snyder , 97

Troy Theresa M. Sherman Snyder , 97 ,of Hamilton Avenue died Monday, January 24, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy.

Born in Austria, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Elisabeth Payer Sherman and wife of the late Francis P. Snyder.

She was raised on a farm in Pittstown and resided in Troy since 1930 and was educated at Troy Public School 5 and attended school in Pittstown.

Mrs. Snyder was a beautician and later worked at the Watervliet Arsenal, a local bank and Ben Katz Furniture.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Miriam Sherman of Fairhaven, VT; nieces, Jo-Ellen Oliver and Jane Sherman; great nieces and nephew, Aaron and Asa Oliver, Kaela Oliver Roche and Kate Mu; a great great nephew, Nathaniel Oliver Roche and several close friends including her helpful neighborhood friends, Eric and Ethan Fleming. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Sherman.

Funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 1pm at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Gary Mercure, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 11-1pm prior to the service. Interment Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill.
