Sharon M. (Harbour) Matthews

Latham - Sharon M. Harbour Matthews, 66, of Miller Road died Sunday, April 23, 2017, at St. Peter's Hospital Albany.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Ralph Harbour and Sadie Hickman Harbour and wife for 38 years of William J.  Matthews. She was raised in Green Island and in Latham since 1978 and was educated in Green Island at St. Joseph's School and Heatly High School. 

Sharon was a computer representative for the phonebook for Verizon in North Greenbush for 27 years, retiring in 1998.  

She loved gardening and was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham.    She was a loving mother.

Survivors in addition to her husband include he beloved daughter, Melissa L. Matthews, Latham; two sisters, Frances (Richard) Engle, Melrose and Joyce Hamilton, Troy; a brother, Ralph (Michelle) Harbour, North Greenbush and several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:30 PM with Deacon Charles Wojton, officiating.

Interment will be in  St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
