Sharon L. (Kimmey) Cylkoff

West Sand Lake - Sharon L. Kimmey Cylkoff, 71, of NY 43 died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of Phyllis Gardner Kimmey of West Sand Lake and  the late Willis Kimmey and wife of the late Leon Joseph Cylkoff. She had resided in West Sand Lake all her life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School and studied to be a beautician. 

Sharon was employed in data entry for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance for 30 years retiring in 1999.   

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Rebekah's Interlochen Lodge # 92 and an active member of the Sand Lake Baptist Church and a member of the church choir.  She was a past member of several bowling leagues and enjoyed late night tea with the Girls at Stewarts.     

Survivors in addition to her mother include a daughter, Tonya Kim (Jerry) Simon, Melrose; a son - Todd Joseph Cylkoff, Averill Park; her grandchildren, Krystal Lynn Simon and Marissa Marie, Brier Marie and Tucker Joseph Cylkoff and two great grandchildren, Olivia Grace and Madelyn Marie Goyer.

Relatives and friends may call at the Sand Lake Baptist Church  2960 NY Route 43,  Averill Park on Saturday from 9-11AM with a service to follow at 11AM with Rev. Sam Kupeyan , Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in  Memory Gardens Colonie.
