Sarkis C. Mihranian Sr., 87

Loudonville Sarkis C. Mihranian Sr., 87, died Saturday at Albany Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.

Born in New York City, he was son of the late Dikran F. and Parouz Khanzadian Mihranian and husband of the late Nazalie G. Bardizbanian Mihranian. He had resided in New York City briefly, resided in East Greenbush for many years and in Loudonville for the past 47 years and was a graduate of Albany Business College with a degree in accounting.

Mr. Mihranian was employed at the New York State Department of Labor for 37 years retiring as supervisor in 1977. He also operated a print shop for many years in Albany.

He was a very active member of the United Armenian Calvary Congregational Church in Troy where he was a Life Deacon. He also was an Army veteran of World War II. Sergeant Mihranian coordinated many reunions of the Duke University 65th General Hospital Medical Unit Veteran's of Foreign Wars in North Carolina of which he was a member.

Survivors include a son, Sarkis C. Mihranian Jr. (Ida) of Latham; two sisters, Mary M. Nordikian of East Greenbush and Elizabeth Stahlman (Norman) of East Greenbush; a niece, JoAnn Pedersen of Ohio and a nephew, Rick Stahlman of East Greenbush.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM from United Armenian Calvary Congregational Church Ninth and Eagle Streets Troy with Rev. Stanley Skinner, Interim Pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy on Monday from 6-9PM. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Mihranian to the United Armenian Calvary Congregational Church 144 Ninth Street Troy, NY 12180.
