Sarah Soultanian Natcharian, 62

Latham Sarah Soultanian Natcharian, 62, of Dyke Road, died Saturday, November 10th on her wedding anniversary, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after a brief illness.

Born in Vauxhall, NJ, she was daughter of the late William and Alice Nazaretian Soultanian and wife for 38 years of Philip J. Natcharian. She moved to Troy as a young girl. She and her husband resided in Washington, DC from 1965 to 1967 and in Latham since 1968. She was a graduate of Troy High School and Mildred Elley School.

Mrs. Natcharian was employed at the Intercounty Title Insurance Company in Albany many years ago. She was a part-time secretary for the North Colonie School District and, most recently, in the offices of the Town of Colonie Supervisor and Town Historian.

She was active in St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Watervliet, as Diocesan Delegate and a member of the Parish Council, the church choir, Women's Guild and was an officer of the Mr. and Mrs. Club. She was a member of the Friends of Pruyn House, Rensselaer County Home Bureau, Daughters of Vartan, Blue Creek Garden Club, which was responsible for the herb gardens at Pruyn House. She was an avid arts and crafts enthusiast.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Matthew Natcharian and wife Lisa, of Wilbraham, MA and Michael Natcharian of Albany; a sister Sonia Matulewicz, and husband Richard, of Whately, MA; two brothers, Archie Soultanian of Troy and Haig A. Soultanian of Long Island; a sister-in-law, Alice Wildman of Colonie; two grandchildren, Christopher Avedis and Ryan Aram Natcharian both of Wilbraham, MA and several devoted nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30AM from St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church, 100 Troy- Schenectady Road, Watervliet with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, Pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Interment at Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Natcharian to St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church, 100 Troy- Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189.
