Sarah Ronan (Hubauer) Natarelli

August 20, 1934 ~ January 10, 2018 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Albany - On the 10th of January 2018, Sarah ‘Sally’ Ronan Natarelli was freed from the prison of Alzheimer’s Disease and joyfully reunited with her loved ones in Heaven.  Sally was in the arms of her two daughters and surrounded by her family as she passed away.

Born and raised in Clarion, PA, she was daughter of the late Patrick Francis Hubauer and Mary O’Brien Hubauer and wife for 37 year to the late James T. Ronan, Esq., who passed away in 1995 and for the last 17 years to the late Daniel Natarelli, who passed away, two weeks ago on 12/27/2017.

Sally attended Clarion State Teachers College in Clarion, PA. and during her early 20’s she moved to Washington DC where she worked at the Pentagon. While in Washington she met Jim Ronan.  They were married and later moved to Pensacola, FL while Jim was in the US Navy.  Sally and Jim then moved to Troy, NY in 1961 where she resided until her marriage to Daniel Natarelli in 2000 when she moved to Saratoga Springs 

Sally was a Real Estate Agent and a Relocation Specialist for Coldwell Banker Prime Properties. She was also a homemaker and community volunteer with many local charities and loved to play golf, take fast walks and work in her gardens.

She was a member of the Junior League of Troy, Saratoga Golf and Polo Club and a long-standing member of the Country Club of Troy where she was the 1986 Woman’s Club Champion. She was a member of the Rensselaer County Garden Club, and always loved working on the annual Green Show at the Rensselaer County Historical Society. 

Sally loved to travel and she and Dan traveled the world together and wintered at their 2nd home in Jupiter, FL.

Survivors include her daughters, Johanna K. (James) Lupoli, and Bridget Ronan Stanners, her grandchildren, Olivia, Thomas (Erin), Alec(Nadia) and Christine and her great grandchildren Douglas and Kathryn,  her step children, Lynn (Kevin) McDonough and Gabriel Natarelli, Susan Natarelli-DeAngelis (Mike), Step grandchildren Gabriel(Silvia), Elissa and Christine, Maria (Tim), Daniel (Marina), Marisa (Donald), Veronica (Nick),Alexis (Kevin); Step great grandchild, Liliana.   Her sisters, Maureen Schwabenbauer and Shirley Ciminero and her brother-in- law, John Ronan. In addition to her two husbands, Sally was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Ronan and her brothers Patrick, Charles, Robert and William.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2 - 5 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Monday, at 10 AM at the funeral home and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Troy.

There are no words that can adequately express the immense love and gratitude our family feels toward the staff at both The Teresian House and The Eddy at Hawthorne Ridge for their tremendously loving and compassionate care of our Mom.
