Sara J. 'Sally' Genthner Shanks Juedes, 68

Wynantskill - Sara J. 'Sally' Genthner Shanks Juedes, 68,of Whiteview Road died suddenly Sunday, August 5, 2007 at her residence.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Marjorie (Marshall) Genthner of Troy and the late Donald Genthner and wife for 25 years of Forrest C. 'Woody' Juedes and was predeceased by her first husband, Harrison C. Shanks

She was raised in Troy and resided in Wynantskill for the past 21 years and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1957.

Mrs. Juedes was a secretary for Eastern Refractories in Troy for over 20 years retiring 5 years ago.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed jig saw puzzles, gardening and time with family and her grandchildren. Every two weeks since high school she played cards with the friends she made in high school.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include her children, Scott D. (Robyn L.) Shanks of Clifton Park, Mark C. (Robyn J.) Shanks of Averill Park, Diane (Timothy) Waters of Troy and Christopher M. Juedes of Schenectady; a brother, Robert (Anita) Genthner of Pittstown and her grandchildren, Zachary J. and Ashley K. Shanks, Danielle M. Girard, Shaina M.J. Shanks, Ryan D.M. Coulter, Elizabeth and Emily Waters and Jessica, Courtney, Rachel and Brandon Juedes.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 PM.

Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
