Santa 'Sadie' Gardy, 74

Grafton - Santa 'Sadie' Gardy, 74, of Bailey Road died September 3, 2008 at Hoosick Falls Health Center after a long illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Joseph Genovese and Providenza (Chiofalo) Genovese and wife of the late Raymond Gardy.

She was raised in Albany where she lived for 35 years and resided in Grafton since 1969. She was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School class of 1952.

Mrs Gardy was a homemaker and many years ago was a secretary for Travelers Insurance.

She was a member of the Grafton Senior Center and the Grafton Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth (MaryAnn) Gardy of Grafton; two daughters, Rayann Kochian of Albany and Veronica Adams of Glens Falls; her grandchildren, Gina and Andrew Kochian and Kenny and Brandon Gardy and a brother, Tony (Danuta) Genovese of Albany. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, a grandson, Justin Viglucci and brother, Joseph Genovese.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery.
