Ruth E. Leonard Reichard, 99

Troy - Ruth E. Leonard Reichard, 99, of the Eddy Heritage House died Friday, January 26, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness.

Born in Staten Island, NY on April 13, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Leonard and Bessie (Nancarrow) Leonard, and wife of the late Harold S. Reichard.

She had resided in Troy since 1936 and was a graduate of Staten Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1926.

Mrs. Reichard was a Registered Nurse at Leonard Hospital in Troy for 27 years.

She was a long time member of the former United Methodist Church of Lansingburgh, the Hudson Valley Antique Study Club and the Tuesday Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Sara Jane Underwood (Craig) of Camarillo, CA.; a son, Leonard H. Reichard (Geri) of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Sydney Leonard, 101, of Corona Del Mar, CA., and Dr. Edwin Leonard, 90, of Tully, NY; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Allan and Charles Leonard.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.

Inurnment at Sand Lake Union Cemetery in Averill Park.
