Ruth Margaret Decker Casey, 84

West Sand Lake Ruth Margaret Decker Casey, 84, peacefully passed into heaven Friday, January 16, 2004, after a short stay in Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Carl L. and Margaret Baxter Decker and loving wife of Morton P. Casey Jr. for 62 years. She was raised in Troy, resided in West Sand Lake for most of her life and was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1937 and attended Russell Sage College.

Mrs. Casey was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother her entire life. She also worked at the former Peerless Company, Denby's, and Flah's at the jewelry and cosmetics counters.

She was the beloved mother to Pamela Agostino, Morton P. Casey III, and Susan E. Casey; mother-in-law to Beth Casey and Peter Agostino; cherished grandmother to Larry Agostino, Bill, Matt, and Laura LaFleur and Kim Liguori and 2 great-granddaughters, Emily and Jennifer Liguori.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy with Rev. Rex Keener, Pastor of the Grace Fellowship, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 6-8pm. Interment Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of the ER and ICU at Albany Medical Center for their kindness and compassionate care.
