Rose C. Perry Snover , 85

Townsend, VA-Rose C. Perry Snover , 85 ,of Townsend, VA died Monday, June 14, 2004 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Nassawadox after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Ross Perry and Pansy (Acker) Perry and wife of the late Albert H. Snover.

She had resided many years in the Troy area and had resided in Townsend and Nassawadox, Virginia most recently.

Mrs. Snover was employed as a cafeteria aid for the Brittonkill Central School District and during World War II worked at Behr-Manning in Watervliet.

She was a long time member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy, formerly a member of the Rebekah's and a member of Holmes Presbyterian Church in Cheriton, VA.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Merritt (Keith) of Townsend, VA and Jill Fry (David) of Long Island; a son, David Snover (Joanne) of Cropseyville; two sisters, Iva Hengsterman and Doris Stacy both of Troy; a brother, Billy Perry of CA; seven grandchildren, Deborah and Daniel Merritt, Carol and Jeffrey Snover, Heather Fry, Dawn Combes and Holly Fry; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Perry.

A local memorial service will be private at the convenience of the family.

Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
