Rose M. Armao, 99

Clifton Park - Rose M. Armao, 99, of Old Coach Road and formerly of Troy died Thursday, November15, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a long illness.

Born in Valley Falls, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Lusk and Josephine Shufon Lusk and wife of the late Joseph Armao. She was raised in Valley Falls, lived most of her life on 10th Street in Troy, a few years at Burns Apartment on Federal Street and since 2006 with her daughter in Clifton Park. She had most recently resided at the Van Rensselaer Manor.

Mrs. Armao worked in the dietary department and the kitchen of St. Mary's Hospital in Troy for 15 years retiring in 1983. Previously, she worked at Jacobson's and Sons on River Street in Troy as a seamstress for 20 years.

She was a communicant of the former St. Peter's Church in Troy, and a member of the Troy Senior Center, Uncle Sam Sparklers and enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos and spending time with her family, grandchildren, great great grandchildren and beloved friends.

Survivors include two sons, John S. (Joyce) Armao, Troy and Richard J. (Wendy) Armao, Thousand Oaks, CA; a daughter - Mary Ann Hannum, Clifton Park; six grandchildren, John Armao, Susan (David) Halpin, Richard (Lisa) Armao, Jeffrey Hannum and Eric and Tricia Armao; 'MaMouche's' five great grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Deyo, Laura (Brett) Reutzel, Katie Halpin, Chloe and Elias Armao; 3 great great grandchildren, Will, Taylor and Justin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Gliosco; two sisters, Jane Placido and Dora Scavia; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Armao and son-in-law, Cecil Hannum.

Relatives and friends may call at the Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue Troy on Monday from 10:30 AM - 12 Noon with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12 noon by Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor.

Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery Troy.
