Ronald John Saville

Green Island - Ronald John Saville, 71, died Friday, March 10, 2017, at The Springs Nursing & Rehab Center Troy after a long illness.                

Born in Granville, NY, he was son of the late Frank J. Saville and Edna Ann Sager Saville. He had resided in Troy, Waterford and Green Island all his life and was a graduate of Troy School 12, Waterford-Halfmoon High School, class of 1963 and Hudson Valley Community College for Human Services, class of 1980. 

Ron was a Drug and alcohol abuse counselor for Conifer Park for many years.  

He was a 3rd Degree Master Mason of the Clinton Masonic Lodge Waterford, and two-time Master. He was former member of the Moose Lodge in Florida and the Green Island American Legion.  Ron was a Navy Vietnam veteran and a 41 year friend of Bill W. 

Survivors include several cousins and many good friends.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 11AM-12 Noon with a service to follow at Noon. 

Interment will be in  St. Agnes Cemetery Menands.
