Mechanicville - Robert H. Merwin Sr., 80, of the North Main Street Mechanicville Mid-Rise Senior Apartmentsdied Thursday, February 14, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Unadilla, NY, he was son of the late Uri B. Merwin and Mabel Minor Merwin and husband of Barbara Jean Fiero Merwin.

Robert was employed as a baker for Bella Napoli in Troy for 20 years retiring in 2002.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his son, Ronald R. Merwin Sr., Averill Park; his grandchildren Ashley M, Ronald R. and Alex R. Merwin; and his great grandson, Ayden Thomas Merwin. He was predeceased by his son Robert H. Merwin Jr.

Relatives and friends may call at the Gardner Earl Chapel 186 Oakwood Avenue Troy on Monday from 2 - 3 PM prior to the service at 3pm.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
