Robert E. Daniels, 77

Cropseyville - Robert E. Daniels, 77, of Blue Factory Hill Road died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn Albany.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Maxwell J. Daniels and Nellie E. Snyder Daniels and husband of the late Barbara Claus Daniels and Diane Hansen Daniels. He resided in Cropseyville for the past 50 years. He was a graduate of Troy High School, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and attended Hudson Valley Community College for electronics.

Mr. Daniels was an electronics field engineer for Behr-Manning in Watervliet and later at Leeds and Northrup in Latham. After retirement, he worked in the Disney store in Colonie Center.

He was an active member, Deacon and Sunday school teacher of Gilead Lutheran Church. He sang in barber shop quartets for many years and enjoyed the church bowling league, playing softball and sailing. Bob was involved in the Wildwood Programs since its establishment more than 40 years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Daniels of Delmar and Paul (Angela) Daniels of Carmel, NY; five stepdaughters, Elisa (Scott Allen) Grimm of Albany, Cindy (Scott) Flowers of Scottsdale, AZ; Sherylee Grimm of Delmar, Kaia (Larry) Gagliardi of Guilderland and Nina (Simon) Levy of Guilderland; a brother, Lloyd D. (Adelaide) Daniels of Santa Maria, CA; his grandchildren, Emma Rose Daniels, Alexander Scott and Jackson William Flowers, Juliana Rose Gagliardi, Isaac Charles Allen and Sean Warner and Sierra Lisel Levy and many loved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, G. Wesley Daniels and Raymond Daniels.

Funeral service will be held Saturday May 2, 2009 at 10 AM at the Gilead Lutheran Church Routes 7 and 278 Center Brunswick with Rev. James A. Hulihan, Pastor, and Rev. Harry Heintz, Pastor, of Brunswick Church, co-officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.

Interment will be in Center Brunswick Cemetery.
