Robert J. Clancy, 80

Watervliet - Robert J. Clancy 80, of Fenimore Trace died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy , he was son of the late Daniel B. and Anna (Weisenforth) Clancy and husband of Joan (St. Pierre) Clancy.

Robert spent most of his life in Troy and was a graduate of Troy Schools. He was employed at Bendix Friction Materials for 30 years retiring in 1980.

Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved traveling and vacationing on Fenwick Island in Delaware. He liked and was liked by everyone he met and especially loved his family.

Survivors in addition to his wife Joan Clancy of Watervliet included his daughter, Cathleen DiDio of Troy and son, Daniel (Charlene) Clancy of Portland, ME; two granddaughters Anna Clancy of Portland, ME and Jennifer (Brian) Stilgebouer of Alamogordo, NM; a brother John (Doris) Clancy of Cohoes; and several nieces and nephews

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy with Rev. John Yanas, Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., on Thursday, from 4-7 PM.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
