Rita McDermott Wagner, 87

Averill Park - Rita McDermott Wagner, 87,of Route 43 Averill Park, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Peter McDermott and Helen (Wilbur) McDermott and wife of the late Lester Wagner.

She was raised in Albany and was a graduate of Albany High School.

Mrs. Wagner was self employed artist, specializing in roses and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed gardening and helping her daughter in the Peacock Shop in Averill Park.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lynn Wagner of Averill Park and many friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Jack McDermott.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10am at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.

Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
