Rita M. Rosenberger Hamm, 71

Wynantskill - Rita M. Rosenberger Hamm, 71, of Heminway Lane died Wednesday, September 09, 2009, at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Henry V. Rosenberger and Pauline Harris Rosenberger and wife of the late George D. Hamm Sr. She was raised in Albany and resided in Troy and Wynantskill most of her life and was a 1954 graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany.

Mrs. Hamm was a manager at New York Telephone in Menands for over 30 years, retiring in 1988.

She enjoyed Las Vegas, gardening and vacations in Myrtle Beach with her family.

Survivors include a son, George D. (Gabriele) Hamm Jr. of Johnsonville; a daughter, Kelly A. Hamm (Mark Cusack) of Averill Park; three grandchildren, Bettina M., Krista L. and Robert G. Hamm of Johnsonville; a brother, Peter (Judy) Rosenberger of Colonie; a sister-in-law, Joan Rosenberger of Schenectady; two special friends, Rose Ruddy and Steve Bulson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry V. Rosenberger and a sister, Margaret L. Rosenberger.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebratedb by Rev. Salvatore Rodino , Pastor.

There will be no calling hours.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Agnes DeCicco and Doly Harris for their quality, compassionate care.
