Wynantskill - Richard Hulten, 80, of Cricket Court Wynantskill died September 26, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital Troy after a long illness.
Born in Gordon, WI, he was son of the late Evald Hulten and Mildred Alice Hegg Hulten and husband of the late Delores Marguerita Luxmore Hulten. He was raised in Duluth, Minnesota, resided in Pontiac, Michigan for 15 years, New Hampshire and the past 10 years in North Greenbush.
Mr. Hulten was a mechanical engineer for Volkswagen of America in Troy, Michigan for 12 years, retiring in 1990. Prior to that he worked for Davidson Rubber Company in Dover, NH for 8 years and Pontiac Motor in Pontiac, Michigan for 15 years.
He was a member of the Wynantskill American Legion, the Society of Automotive Engineers and an Army veteran of the Army of Occupation of Japan.
Survivors include three daughters, Gwendolyn Alice Hulten of Troy, Rebecca (Martin) Probst of Wynantskill and Laura L. (Aaron) Bull of Troy; two sons, Randall R. (Melody) Hulten of Auburn Hills, MI and Andrew J. Hulten of Troy; a brother, James Kanicky of Bloomington, MN; his grandchildren, Natalie, Erin, Katie, Kimberly, Nancy, Thomas, Ashley, Joshua, Rachel, Joshua, Jonathan and Shaina and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanne Larsen and Gwendolyn Hulten and a brother, John C. Hulten.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
