Raynard R. Sousis, 72

Troy- Raynard R. Sousis, 72,of Pawling Avenue, died Monday, June 12, 2006 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy surrounded by his family.

Born in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Clarence Sousis and Evelyn (DeLorme) Sousis.

He was raised in Whitehall and resided in Troy most of his life with a brief time in Jamestown.

Mr. Sousis owned and operated a family business with his father, Sousis Body Shop on the east side of Troy for many years retiring 20 years ago.

He loved to fish and was an Army veteran of Korean War.

He is survived by his sons and daughters, Stacey Sousis of Mechanicville, Raynard Sousis Jr., Bernice, Rebecca and Jeff LaRoss of Ballston Spa, Raynie Sousis of VT, Regina Sousis of VT; a step daughter, Debra Lloyd and Jim Plante of Troy; sisters, Bernice and Ted Kaschak of Keeseville, NY and Kathy and Ronald Monroe of Wynantskill; special friends Nick and Jan Rachico of Jamestown; 9 grandchildren; a great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three children, Tina Marie, Charles and Joseph and two brothers, Gary Sousis and Clarence W. Sousis Jr.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5-7PM.

Interment St. Peter's Cemetery in Troy.
