Raymond C. Wright, 40

Troy - Raymond C. Wright, 40, of Federal St. died Saturday, June 06, 2009, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Queens , NY, he was son of Louise Miner Wright of Troy and the late Ralph Wright Sr. and fiance of Dotleca Terry of Troy for 11 years. He was raised in Queens and the past 7 years resided in Troy and was a graduate of Jackson High School in Queens and Five Towns Community College in Long Island.

Ray was employed in maintenance at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

He was loved by everyone. Ray was a talented trumpet player, playing jazz and spent weekends at the Jazz Mobile in New York City with Chuck Mangione, Dizzy Gillespie and Quentin Marsellus .

Survivors in addition to his mother and fiance include a brother, Ralph Wright Jr. of Troy; a sister, Deborah (Wayne Sr.) Bradley of Troy; two nephews, Wayne Bradley Jr. and Steven Bradley. Also survived by a host of other nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at Holy Serenity Church of God in Christ 131 Fifth Avenue Troy with Pastor Cornelius Clark, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the CHURCH on Friday from 1-3 PM. A memorial will be held at the Burns Apartments Community Room immediately following the service.
