Raffaele Lombardi, 78

North Greenbush - Raffaele Lombardi, 78, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Roccasicura, Italy, he was the son of the late Paolo Lombardi and Faustina (DiBenedetto) Lombardi and husband of Michelina Lombardi. He came to the United States in 1959.

Mr. Lombardi was employed at Bella Napoli Bakery and later worked closely with his son operating Paolo Lombardi's Ristorante and Route Fore Golf Center.

He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Paolo Lombardi (Linda Gizzi) of North Greenbush;a daughter, Faustina Lombardi of North Greenbush; two grandchildren, Michelina L. and Raffaele L. Lombardi; two sisters, Giovanina D'Agostino (Antonio) of Troy and Angelina DiTullio (Eduardo) of Roccasicura, Italy and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, Pastor. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 PM. Entombment St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Troy.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Lombardi to St. Jude the Apostle Church Brookside Avenue Wynantskill, NY 12198.
