Quinette Doris (Shaver) Dructor

West Sand Lake - Quinette Doris Shaver Dructor, 71, of Shaver Road died Friday, November 21, 2014, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief  illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Quentin E. Shaver and Doris L. Gardner Shaver and wife for 49 years of Andrew J.  Dructor. She was raised on Shaver Road in West Sand Lake, resided a few years in Hollywood, Florida and most of her life back in West Sand Lake and was a 1961 graduate of Averill Park High School. 

Quinette was employed as a tax examiner for New York State Department of  Taxation and Finance in Menands for 10  years and previously was a special needs bus driver for Rensselaer County BOCES.   

She was an active 41 year member of the Rebekah Interlochen Lodge # 92 and the staff of President Ellen Jean Whited as the Assembly Outside Guardian.  She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Horse Thieves and an active member of Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake and the Memorial Committee.  She enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her son, Robert P. (Cathy) Dructor, Lake Grove, NY; two grandsons, Christopher Nicholas and Robert Anthony Dructor; her siblings, Sandra Stevens, Brunswick, Nancy Ware, Albany, Helen Rescott, West Sand Lake and Blaine E. Shaver, West Sand Lake and several nieces, nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Salem United Methodist Church  Shaver Road West Sand Lake on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 12 Noon - 2pm with a service at 2pm at the Church with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush , Pastor, officiating.
