Peter E. Seebald, 59

Wynantskill - Peter E. Seebald, 59,of Whiteview Road, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness.

Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Eugene Seebald and Catherine (Maddigan) Seebald and husband for 36 years of Susan J. Cross Seebald.

He was raised in Buffalo and had resided in Wynantskill since 1969. He was educated at Bishop Timon High School in Buffalo and attended LeMoyne College in Syracuse.

Peter was employed as a sales manager at Met Life in Latham for 10 years.

He was president of the Insurance Workers Union, Education Chairman of the Troy Area Life Underwriters Association, member of the Professional Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow, Troy Area Life Underwriters Association and active in scouting in Boy Scout Troop #516 Troy. He was also coordinator of the annual Thanksgiving Scouting Food Drive, a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill and a member of the Audit Team. He enjoyed upland bird hunting and trout fishing.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Donald (Marie) Seebald of Fallon, NV and Kevin Seebald of North Greenbush a granddaughter, Athena Seebald of Fallon, NV, five sisters, Mary F. (Thomas) Callaghan of Wynantskill, Kitty (Shawn) Malone of Myrtle Beach, SC, Cathleen (George) Seebald-Flattery of West Seneca, NY, Jeanne Ann Engwer of Troy and Margaret Everitt of Tonasonta, FL.; two brothers, Paul J. (Colleen) Seebald of Latham and Thomas C. Seebald of Watervliet.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10am at St. Jude the Apostle Church Brookside Avenue Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, Pastor.
