Peter Joseph Nates

North Greenbush - Peter Joseph Nates, 87, of Sagendorf Lane died Saturday, August 15, 2015, at his residence. Born and raised in Watervliet, he was son of the late Peter Joseph Nates and Martha  Dupris Nates and husband of Vivan L. Rourke Nates. He had resided in North Greenbush for the past 40 years and was a graduate of Watervliet High School.  

Peter was a forklift operator for Mohawk Paper in Waterford for 25 years, retiring 23 years ago.  
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.  

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Linda Kohler, Colonie, Dean (Holly) Nates, South Bethlehem and Colleen Groff, Wynantskill; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; a sister, Beatrice LeClair, Wynantskill and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to the graveside service Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11 AM at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery  Schuylerville.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Peter Joseph Nates to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Boulevard Rensselaer, NY 12144.
