Penny L. Carkner Albright, 41 Troy Penny L. Carkner Albright, 41, of 48 Desson Avenue, died peacefully Thursday April 19, 2001, at St. Peter's Hospital Albany after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she is survived by her devoted husband of 15 years Norman F. Albright; son Kyle Jonathan Albright, one year old and was daughter of Patricia A. Pasqualitti Carkner of Wynantskill and the late Richard A. Carkner. She was a loving wife and mother. She was raised in East Greenbush, resided in Troy for the past 15 years and was a graduate of Columbia High School and St. Rose College. Penny was a teacher at the Poestenkill Elementary School. Prior to that she was the director and administrator of the George Washington After School Program and was a member, Sunday school superintendent and teacher at Christ Church United Methodist in Troy. She was very active in community events and the Diabetes Crop Walk (Andrew's Army). Survivors in addition to her husband, son and mother include her maternal grandfather Julius Pasqualitti of South Schodack ; a sister Julianne Suscietto of Averill Park; four brothers Richard L. Carkner of Sand Lake, David A. Carkner of Schenectady, Daniel A. Carkner of Castleton and Glen S. Carkner of Schodack and 24 nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00AM from Christ Church United Methodist State St. and Fifth Avenue Troy with Rev. James A. Fenimore, Pastor and Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham, Pastor Emeritus, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy on Sunday from 4-9pm. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy. Contributions may be made in memory of Penny Albright to the Poestenkill Elementary School PTA for purchase of library materials.
