Averill Park-Paul E. Nash ,73,of Mountain View Drive, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Hillcrest Commons Nursing Home in Pittsfield after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Edward Nash and Viola (Pohl) Nash and husband for 47 years of Carolyn M. Oliver Nash.

He had resided in Averill Park all his life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School class of 1949 and earned his Bachelors degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute class of 1953.

Paul was employed as a Chemical Analyst for Sterling Drug in Rensselaer for 40 years retiring in 1994.

He was an active member of the Church of the Covenant in Averill Park where he was the financial secretary for 40+ years. Paul was active in all sports including Twin Town Little League since 1952 where he has held many positions including District Administrator of District 14 from 1964-2004, International Board of Directors from 1984-1987 and Coordinator of Section 2. He also was active in Boy Scout Troop #526, numerous Girl Scout troops and Classie Lassie Softball in North Greenbush.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his daughter Wendy E. Nash of Cicero; two sons Scott H. Nash (Carol) of Latham and Jeffrey E. Nash (Beata)of Averill Park; four grandchildren, Michael Gardner of Louisiana, Jane Gardner of Latham and Zachary and Justin Nash of Schenectady; a brother, Donald Nash (Nancy) of North Syracuse and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Covenant Route 43 Averill Park with Rev. Richard Neal, Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Interment Sand Lake Union Cemetery.
