Paul Joseph Barlow, 57

Troy - Paul Joseph Barlow, 57, of Marvin Avenue died Thursday, April 07, 2011, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of Mary Grace Reilly Barlow of Troy and the late Edward Barlow Jr. He was raised in West Sand Lake and was a graduate of Averill Park High School.

Mr. Barlow was employed in maintenance and as a carpenter for Emma Willard School for several years and formerly did construction for DJ Construction and Davis Acoustical.

He was an avid race car fan, he enjoyed NASCAR and Lebanon Valley Speedway and loved fishing and spending time in 'G' Building, The Grove on Route 4.

Survivors include a daughter, Caitlin Barlow, Averill Park; a son, Zachary Barlow, Averill Park; three sisters, Sharon (Late Norman) Yerdon, Palmyra, Cathy (Patrick) Martin, Norwich and Karen (Edward) Adelska, Averill Park; two brothers, Edward (Patricia) Barlow III, Queensbury, NY and Keith (Penny) Barlow, Niverville, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Sunday from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. John Provost, Pastor of St. Henry's Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
