Patricia Lou Schmitt, 79

Troy - Patricia Lou Schmitt, 79, died peacefully on June 23, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Patricia was born, Patricia Lou Gabrielse to James and Marjorie Gabrielse on July 30^th 1931. She was married to Gerald Schmitt for 60 years.

She is survived by her son Kerry Schmitt of La Canada, CA and two daughters, Kathleen (Frank) Picarelli of N. Richland Hills, TX and Lynn(Andy) Ross of Troy, NY; her beloved grandchildren, Joseph and Michael Schmitt, John and Jane Picarelli, and Adam, Evan, and Isabella Ross.

Pat and Gerry lived in Columbus, WI until 1990, then moved to Troy. In 1995 Pat started her own business called "Pat's Crafts". She and Gerry embarked on the craft show circuit to tout her tremendous talent of unique wood and crochet items. She is predeceased by her parents as well as three brothers, Roger, Stuart, and James Gabrielse and one sister, Nancy Thurmer.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10AM at Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue Troy with Rev. Randall Patterson, Pastor.

Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Patricia L. Schmitt to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road Loudonville, NY 12211.
