Dear Loni, Tiffany and TIIA,
I am shocked and very sad to see that your Mom passed away. (I was on vacation in Cape Cod; I saw you all were there just before we went. It looked like you all had a wonderful time together.) I work at the University at Albany and have very wonderful memories of your Mom. She was always talking about her girls. I always loved talking to her. She was a very special lady and always happy and had a smile on her face.
Again, I am truly sorry for your loss as well as mine!

Loni, Tiffany & Tia, and family,
We are heartbroken over Pat's passing. She was such a good person and always concerned about others. We lost an angel on earth and now she's with Ralph. They are watching their girls from Heaven and will always look out for them. Our prayers are with you at this terrible time. Love & Peace. Gary & Marje & Family

Pat was such a wonderful person. For so many years she did so much for HVCC and then when the EOC needed assistance, she was there for us too. Pat's life was dedicated to service, hard work and making a difference. She was passionate about all that she undertook and through that passion she left her special mark wherever she went, on whatever she did, and on whomever she met. She will be missed.

We were saddened by Pat's passing, but were grateful that we were able to visit before she went home to be with the Lord. Loni, Tiffany and Tia, thank you for calling us and allowing us to share time with Pat and all of you. We will cherish that time we had. Susan will be away from Friday until Sunday, so she will not be able to attend the wake or funeral. Jeff hopes to be at the wake on Friday. Alaska will now be a bittersweet memory for us. We will miss her and the wonderful work she did with the HDU. Susan did get to personally thank her when we visited on Thursday. She was a wonderful friend, and she will remain in our hearts forever. Now she has joined your Dad and will be organizing heaven, we're sure! Our love to the entire family. May God give you strength in the coming difficult days.

I worked with and knew Pat at the University at Albany for many years.

It is said, some lives are linked across time.
There are certain people connected by an ancient calling
that echoes through the ages, destiny.

The Train of Life...

This is too beautiful not to forward to everyone. I hope you enjoy it.

At birth we board a train and meet our parents. We believe they will always travel by our side. However, at some station, our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. As time goes by, other people will board the train, and they will be significant - siblings, friends, the love of your life, children, and many others. Some will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we won't realize they vacated their seats. The train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells. A successful ride requires having a good relationship with all passengers. We must give the best of ourselves.
The mystery to everyone is, we do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life. I wish you a joyful journey on the train of life. Reap success and give lots of love. More importantly, thank God for the journey.

Lastly, I thank you for being one of the passengers on my train.
