Patricia (Pat) Rowan Adelska, 74

Averill Park- Patricia (Pat) Adelska, age 74, was taken to heaven, March, 20, 2006. Patricia passed away peacefully from her home surrounded by her loving family and beloved pets.

Born in Rensselaer, NY, April 7, 1931, she spent summers at her grandparent's camp on Burden Lake, which became her year round home in 1955. Patricia graduated with honors from Kenwood Academy in Albany in 1949 and continued on to Mildred Elley Business School.

Pat and her husband operated a lawnmower, snowmobile, and boat business from their home for over 30 years, where they made many wonderful friends. Pat was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She will dearly miss her friends at daily mass and 4pm Saturday mass. Pat also volunteered at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home for over 10 years and especially enjoyed helping take the residents to Walmart with employees and fellow volunteers. Pat will also dearly miss her fellow swimmers and the workers at the Cohoes Community Center pool. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her pets and strays, and working the election polls every year.

Patricia is survived by her loving son, Edward J. Adelska and his wife Karen of Averill Park. Patricia is predeceased by her husband Joseph E. Adelska, her brother Reverend Colonel Joseph Rowan of Saratoga and Parents Dr. D Edward and Anna Rowan.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 9:00 AM at St. Henry's Church Old Route 66 Averill Park where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Provost, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Henry's Church Thursday from 4-8 PM.

Special thanks to Fathers Tom, John and Sister Rosemary of St. Henry's parish. Also special thanks to Dr. Savage and staff, Dr. Timmons and staff and Colleen and Dr. Murray. You gave us two extra precious years, for which we are eternally grateful.
