Olive G. Dickinson Bonesteel, 94

Wynantskill - Olive G. Dickinson Bonesteel, 94, of Sharpe Road died Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late James Dickinson and Jane Carr Dickinson and wife of the late Clyde E. Bonesteel. She had resided in Wynantskill most of her life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Bonesteel, many years ago, worked as a secretary for Dr. Faulkner in Watervliet and for Montgomery Ward in Menands in the catalog department and later was a homemaker.

She was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Wynantkill. She volunteered in many capacities in the life of the church. She was an accomplished seamstress and baker. Her handcrafted teddy bears and rabbits were the hit of the church craft fair year after year, bringing in money to send kids to Camp Fowler.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Clyde 'Ted' (Susan) Bonesteel Jr., Mullen, NE, Lynne Dallas, Wynantskill, Ross (Cynthia) Bonesteel, Latham and James (Jill) Bonesteel, Stephentown; 12 grandchildren, Michael and Glenn Bonesteel, Jennifer Macke, Sean, Michelle and Eric O'Connor, Desiree LeMoine, Alex and Evan Bonesteel and Noah, Sammy and Tannis Bonesteel; 10 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald W. Dickinson, Helen Hanby, J. Leslie Dickinson, Edward Dickinson and Doris Dickinson.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday, from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill Church Street and Main Avenue Wynantskill with Rev. Donald Pangburn, Interim Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
