Norman N. Yerdon Jr., 54

Palmyra, NY Norman N. Yerdon Jr., 54, of Daansen Road, died suddenly Wednesday at Via Health Newark, NY.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Norman Nelson Yerdon Sr. and Marjorie Abrams Yerdon and husband for 33 years of Sharon M. Barlow Yerdon. He had resided in the Troy area until 1974 and in Palmyra for the past 29 years. He was a graduate of Averill Park High School, class of 69 and attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Mr. Yerdon was a truck driver and deliveryman for Nichols Gas & Oil in Macedon, NY and formerly was employed at Trident Manufacturing in Webster, NY.

He was active in little league as a parent. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and play golf, travel and camp and follow the NY Yankees.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Christopher Michael Yerdon of Troy; a daughter, Shanna Yerdon-Walker (David) of Palmyra; two brothers, Douglas Yerdon (Leigh) of Johnstown and Kenneth Arrington of Rochester; a sister, Barbara Schackett of Troy; two grandchildren, Matthew Christopher Yerdon of Schenectady and Brianna Haley Walker of Palmyra and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Friday from 4-7pm.

Interment Elmwood Cemetery in West Sand Lake.
