Norma R. Schumann Bubie , 85

Poestenkill Norma R. Schumann Bubie , 85 ,of Plank Road, died suddenly Thursday, June 3, 2004 at her residence.

Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late John H. Schumann and the late Ada (Radz) Schumann and wife of the late Walter J. Bubie.

She had resided in Brooklyn as a child, then Wynantskill and the past 75 years in Poestenkill. She frequented Lake George for many years and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs.Bubie was employed as a secretary for Capital Mutual Insurance in Averill Park for several years retiring 10 years ago.

She was an active member of the Poestenkill Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society, and a member of GOOFS (Girls Organization Of Fun and Service) at the Church of the Covenant in Averill Park, Poestenkill Historical Society and the Board of Elections in Poestenkill.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Lytwyn (Michael) of East Hanover, N.J. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Henry Schumann.

Funeral service will be held Monday, at 10:00 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route150 in West Sand Lake with Rev. Stephen Cordes, Pastor of the Poestenkill Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Interment Brookside Cemetery, in Barberville.
