Nicholas P. Clemente, 55

Troy - Nicholas P. Clemente, 55, of Pawling Avenue died peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2009, at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Nicholas Clemente and Carolyn M. Coville Clemente. He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Sandra L. (Rockefeller) Clemente, celebrating their 30th anniversary in January of this year. He had resided in Troy all his life and attended Troy Schools.

Nick was employed as a plumber for Charles Ashline Plumbing in Albany many years ago prior to retiring due to disability.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #1489 Wynantskill, the Vietnam Vet MC and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Christopher L. (Erin) Clemente of Troy and Brian S. (Danielle) Clemente of Troy; a daughter, Angela C. Clemente of Troy and two grandsons, Ryan C. and Collin T. Clemente. Also survived by two sisters, Pamela (Nelson) Schmidt of Melrose and Laurie (Frank) Wideman of Stafford, VA; a brother, Timothy A. (Pam) Clemente of Pittstown; two uncles, John and Anthony Clemente; two aunts, Phil Tambello and Grace Clemente and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be missed by his poodle, Sophie.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:45 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James J. Vaughan.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 PM.

Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville
