Nancy (Bryce) Whorf

Nancy Bryce Whorf, died peacefully in Florida, on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her late husband, George.

Nancy was born in Troy, NY to the late Denton and Esther Bryce. She is survived by her brothers, Duncan (Joyce), Rex (Mary) & Wally Bryce (Marlene). She was the loving mother of Karen Wendt, Paul, Darcy Scott (Reid), Bryce, Kendall & Allyson Champa (Brian). Nancy was a proud and doting grandmother of 13 (Tark and Austin Wendt; Katie Maloy and Melissa Whorf; Daphne Doerr, Lindsey Szurek, and Stewart Scott; Aaron and Alana Whorf; K.J. and Mayghan Whorf; Hallie and Shayne Champa) & great grandmother of six (Adler and Leo Doerr; Hayden and Landon Wendt; Finn Maloy; Heath Szurek). 

Nancy was married to George for over 40 years. She moved to West Bloomfield, MI in her 30's and resided there for the majority of her life, with most of her family settling nearby. She in her later years would spend her winters in Tequesta, Florida near her brothers and her summers in Michigan to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

The family will be receiving friends Thursday, June 23, 2016, 11:00am until funeral service at 1:00pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave. (btwn. 13-14 Mile), Royal Oak.
