Troy Myrtle V. Burt Miller,71,of Pawling Avenue, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.
Born in Wynantskill, she was the daughter of Elsie (Goyer) Burt of Wynantskill and the late John Burt and wife for 53 years of Robert W. Miller Sr.
She had resided in Wynantskill and the East Side of Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School.
Mrs. Miller was employed on the East Side of Troy, for 20 years, as the Manager of Brooks, Revco and most recently CVS on Pawling Avenue. Prior to that she worked 20 years at Pressman's Army & Navy in Troy and at Stanley's Department Store.
She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wynantskill Fire Company, a member of the East Side Seniors and Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church. She enjoyed Friday night card games and her biggest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include a son, Robert W. Miller Jr. (Janice)of Wynantskill; four daughters, Deborah J. Futia of Albany (Frank), Nancy Miller of Taborton, Susan L. Miller (Doug) of Troy and Pamela J. Miner of Troy; two brothers, Elmer Burt of Clifton Park (Anne) and James Burt (Diane) of Wynantskill; her sister, Nancy Hannigan (James) of Wynantskill; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Gaylord Campbell, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Interment Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill.
