Millie B. Druba Biittig, 84

Averill Park - Millie B. Druba Biittig, 84, of Burden Lake Road died Saturday September 6, 2008 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Poestenkill, she was daughter of the late John Druba and Rose (Krell) Druba and wife of the late Walter J. Biittig. She was raised in Poestenkill, resided in Averill Park most of her life and attended Troy High School.

Millie was a lab technician at Sterling-Winthrop in Rensselaer for several years retiring 20 years ago. Prior to that she worked at Faith Mills in Averill Park and Cluett. Peabody & Co. in Troy and many years ago was a waitress at the Burden Lake Casino.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sand Lake.

Survivors include a daughter, Rose (Raymond) Peterson of Averill Park; her grandchildren Jaimie (Lester) Peterson Wagner and Adam, Clinton and Walter Peterson; her great grandchildren, Abbey and Madeline Peterson and Garrett and Olin Wagner; a brother, Edward Druba of Nassau and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew John Peterson and her sisters and brothers, Rose Cronin, Martha Radz and Arthur, Carl, Henry, Minnie, Margaret and Mary Druba.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. James A. Hulihan, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday prior to the service from 4-7PM. A private interment will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
