Michele E. Sprague, 64

West Sand Lake - Michele E. Sprague, 64, of Shaver Road died suddenly Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Pitcairn, NY.

Born in Binghamton, she was daughter of the late Roger Barden and Jane Devine Barden and wife of Peter B. Sprague. She was raised in Binghamton and resided in Liberty, Middletown and Voorheesville before moving to West Sand Lake in 1976 and was a graduate of Middletown High School.

Michele was a self employed artist for many years.

She was formerly an active member of the West Sand Lake Fire Company as a firefighter, the Fire Company Historian, a former President and did her EMT training.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Christina M. (Daniel) Desmond, Jeffersonville, NY; two grandsons, Timothy and Patrick Desmond; a brother, Charles (Diane) Klein, Binghamton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Christine Sears and Dolores Cizak and two brothers, James and Roger Barden.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 in West Sand Lake on Friday from 4-7.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Salem United Methodist Church Shaver Road West Sand Lake with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
