Michael Gardy

Michael Gardy, 88 Grafton Michael Gardy, 88, of Route 2, died Friday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a brief illness. Born in Beaver Falls, PA he was son of the late Salvadore and Vincenza Manerino Gardy and husband of Ella Bly Gardy. He had resided in Grafton the past 47 years. Mr. Gardy was employed as a bread salesman for General Baking - Bond Bread for 42 years and later TipTop Bread. Upon his retirement, he worked for Green Thumb State Park. He bowled in numerous bowling leagues, was an avid fisherman, loved baseball and vacationed in Maine often. Survivors in addtion to his wife include two sons Raymond and Gary Gardy both of Grafton; two sisters Lucy Vecchio of Albany and Alice Wixon of Huston, TX; eight grandchildren Veronica Adams, Rayann Kochen, Kenneth Gardy, Michael Gardy, Lester Gardy Jr, Eugene Gardy, Gena Waters and Julie Fuco; numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Lester Gardy. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy with Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham, Pastor Emeritus, Christ Church United Methodist in Troy, officiating. Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery in Eagle Mills.
