Mary M. Snyder, 91

Averill Park - Mary M. Snyder, 91, of Methodist Farm Road passed away peacefully Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born, raised, and educated in Schenectady, she was daughter of the late Joseph Martinelli and Anna Phillips Martinelli and wife of the late Donald Clark Snyder. Mary has resided on Methodist Farm Road for the past 65 years.

Mary was employed by American Locomotive in Schenectady for several years and more recently was a nutritionist aide for Rensselaer County Cooperative Extension retiring in 1977.

Mary was a communicant and greeter at St. Henry's Church in Averill Park. She was an avid woodworker and gardener and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her sons, Glenn J. Snyder, Averill Park and David J. Snyder, Hopkinton, NH; her siblings, Joseph Martinelli, Stillwater, Philip Martinelli, Schenectady, Virginia Giorgio, Altamont, and Rita Rambler, Versailles, KY; her grandchildren, Chris, Dusty, Matthew, Suzie, and Dan; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
