Mary Jaffarian, 92

North Greenbush - Mary Jaffarian, 92, formerly of Park Blvd. Troy died Friday, November 30, 2012, after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Toros P. Jaffarian and Aghavni Manoogian Jaffarian. She was a life long resident of Troy.

Miss Jaffarian was a graduate of Troy High School, the College of St. Rose, and the former Albany State Teacher's College where she earned her master's degree in education and guidance.

She was a teacher for 32 years, 30 of which were in the Troy School District mostly at School 12 in the 7th and 8thgrades.

Miss. Jaffarian was a member of Ilium Literary Club of Troy, a lifelong member of St. Peter Armenian Church where she was a member of the Parish Council for 4 years, the Women's Guild, and the Senior Club.

Survivors include her brother Paul Jaffarian and his wife, Marian, Latham, and Grace Sapino and her husband, Ted, Naples, FL; her nieces and nephews, Carole Ann Smith, Saint Augustine, FL, Arthur Kazanjian and his wife JoAnn, Troy, Thea Stewart and her husband Kevin of MA, and Cheri Dunnigan and her husband, Tim, Naples, Fl; and several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Virginia Kazanjian.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling AvenueTroy on Monday 4 - 7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and at 10AM at St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church Watervliet with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
