Mary Quanne Hankle, 68

Schodack - Mary Quanne Hankle, 68, of North Schodack Road died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Endicott, NY , she was daughter of the late Helen Muron Quanne and wife for 40 years of Glenn A. Hankle. She had resided in Endicott for 27 years and most of her life she resided in the Albany and Schodack areas. She was a graduate of Union Endicott High School and took numerous courses in several area colleges.

Mary was a computer operator for New York State Department of Transportation for 37 years retiring in December of 2000.

She was a volunteer for the Special Olympics, the Boy Scouts and was a member of the East Schodack Garden Club.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, April (Myron) Hankle Barley, Schodack; a son, Jason Hankle, Schodack; a brother, John (Carol) Quanne, Florida; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Quanne, FL; a dear friend, Carol Christman-Ryan, Albany and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas, James, Nancy and Robert Quanne.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Monday from 8:30-9:30am with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am St. Henry's Church Averill Park by Rev. Thomas F. Holmes, Pastor.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery Johnson City, NY.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mary Quanne Hankle to abused and battered children and womens organization or Equinox, Inc.
