Mary F. (Manella) Hagen

Latham- Mary Frances Hagen, 89, died peacefully Monday, September 28 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Florinda (Zampini) Manella. She resided in Albany most of her life where she raised her daughters and was employed by the Albany Co. Department of Social Services.

Mary was fun, loving and enjoyed her time with the Speigletown Elders, a good poker game, traveling and a lively swing dance. Above all she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and loved visiting them at Babcock Lake. She was especially thrilled to meet her precious great granddaughter, Olivia Mary, born August 11th.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Alund ( Robert) and Kathleen Mineau (Gerald) of Loudonville; 5 grandchildren Julie ( Michael) Longo, Joseph Alund, Rob Alund, Ellen Mineau and Caroline ( Chris) Colwell; one great granddaughter Olivia Mary Colwell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, John A. and Patrick Manella, two sisters Philomena ("Minnie") Casey and Nancy Pincher, and her former husband, Joseph F. Hagen.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 9:30 - 11 a.m. 

Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:30am at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Anthony Ligato, Pastor.

Interment will be in  St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
