Wynantskill - Marion Hamilton Reed, 82, formerly of Russell Avenue died Saturday, May 02, 2009, at Crescent Manor Nursing Home Bennington, VT after a long illness.
Born in New Brunswick, Canada, she was daughter of the late Frederick William Hamilton and Margaret Agnes Pemberton Hamilton and former wife of the late Herbert J. Reed. She had resided in Watervliet for several years and in Wynantskill since 1948 and was a graduate of Watervliet schools.
Ms. Reed was a homemaker, real estate agent and former teaching assistant for the Wynantskill Union Free School District.
She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill and a member of its Altar Rosary Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Andrew) Reed Grobecker of Hoosick Falls; a niece, Patricia A. Doakmajian; three nephews, Raymond E. Kasmier, Frederick S. Cashmere and Paul E. Kapp; great nieces, Michelle Fanning, Kara Van Auken and Tricia Urwosky and several great grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Ellen Murphy and Margaret Agnes Poland; two brothers, Robert Sherman Hamilton and Frederick William Hamilton and a grandson, David W. Denisulk.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the St. Jude the Apostle Church Brookside Avenue Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, Pastor. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Colonie.
