Marian Wolfe, 96

Troy - Marian Wolfe, 96, of Burdett Avenue and formerly of West Sand Lake died Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center after a long illness.

Born in Lebanon, PA, she was daughter of the late Charles F. Wolfe and Mary Kleiser Wolfe. She had resided in West Sand Lake for many years and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1931 and Bender Hygienic Lab in Albany class of 1935.

Miss Wolfe worked for Bender Labs in Albany from 1935-1975 as a Lab Technician.

She was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Green Island and its Women's Society and Green Island Seniors and its bowling league. She loved to cook and bake and was known for her pies and blueberry muffins.

Survivors include a sister, Isabelle Simpson of Menands; many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Franklin S. Wolfe and Archie K. Wolfe and a sister, Anna Peck.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake with Rev. Ken Scott, Pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 AM prior to the service.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Marian Wolfe to the Church of the Good Shepherd 89 Hudson Avenue Green Island, NY 12183 or the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center 2256 Burdett Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
