Marian Safarian, 88

Troy Marian Safarian, 88 ,of Troy and formerly of Beirut, Lebanon, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in Beirut, she was daughter of the late Karnig and Maritza Malkasian Safarian.

Miss Safarian was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Watervliet.

She is survived by a sister, Arshagouhi Jerian of Troy; two sisters-in-law, Verkin Safarian of Beirut and Anahid Safarian of CA and several nieces and nephews, Vartan Jerian of Troy, Arsen Jerian of CA, Karnig Safarian of Beirut, Raffi Safarian of CA and Maria Dekisian and 5 great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Khachig Safarian and Hampersum Safarian.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9am at St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church 100 Troy-Schenectady Road in Watervliet with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 8:30-9 am prior to the service.
