Maria Gassmann Maier , 85

Troy Maria Gassmann Maier , 85,of The Terrace at Eddy in Troy died Monday, January 10, 2005.

Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Katharine Franz Gassmann and wife of the late Erich Maier.

Mrs. Maier was a homemaker.

She served her family with loving devotion and provided gemutlichkeit to all she met.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Zittel (Rev. Robert) of Latham; a son, Albert Maier (Debbie) of St. Charles, MO; four grandchildren, Katherine (Tom) Mikkelson, Eric Zittel, Tim Maier and Amy (William) Feeman and two great grandchildren-Zachary and A.J. Mikkelson and many more loving relatives and friends on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 14, 2005 at 7:00 PM at the CHURCH OF THE COVENANT Route 43 and Old Route 66 in Averill Park with Rev. Robert Zittel, son-in-law and Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the CHURCH Friday prior to the service from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Maier to the Church of the Covenant for tsumani relief Box 306 Averill Park, NY 12018.
