Marguerite Terry Chatlos O'Neil, 96

North Greenbush - Marguerite Terry Chatlos O'Neil, 96,of Winter Street Extension, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush after a long illness.

Born in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Chatlos and Mary (George) Chatlos and wife of the late Raymond O'Neil.

She had resided in Pine Plains, NY, Dover-Foxcroft, ME, Hyde Park, NY and >North Greenbush. She attended the Hudson school system.

Mrs. O'Neil was employed as a dry cleaner for over 50 years in Poughkeepsie, NY, and in Dover-Foxcroft, ME, and most recently as a seamstress and an aid with New York State at Wassaic State School in Dutchess County.

She was a member of the Grange in Maine, a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Pine Plains, NY, and Dover-Foxcroft, ME, and United Methodist Women of Dover-Foxcroft.

She is survived by her son, Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham (Mary) of North Greenbush; a stepdaughter, June Takacs and the late Ernie of Pleasant Valley, NY; a sister, Lela E. Chatlos of North Greenbush, four grandchildren, Stephen Ingraham (Venessa), Joseph Ingraham (Christine), Christa Shiffer, and Marilisa Dowling (Jay); her great grandchildren, Stephen K. , Gregory , Jessica, Jason, Samantha, Daniel, Meghan, Anna, Abigail and Katherine; four step grandchildren, Patty Schettino (Nick) and Michael (Robin) Takacs, Barbara VanAuker (Michael) and David Brinkel (Erika). She was predeceased by a stepson-Don O'Neil; a stepdaughter-Doris Brinkel (Bill) and a sister, Mary V. Sauter.

Marguerite loved gardening, walking and picking wild flowers for bouquets, baking for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her champion lemon pie was a favorite with her family as well at church suppers! Marguerite and Ray shared many memorable hours at the camp they built together on Sebec Lake in Dover-Foxcroft. They enjoyed welcoming family and friends to their beloved camp!

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.
